• “Above all, the Bishop is a friend to his flock. A friend is a person whom you can trust, who accepts you as you are, but is also a person who lovingly tells you that which needs to be said.” This was stated by the Archbishop of Malta, Mgr Charles J. Scicluna, during the presentation of the book ‘Kelma ta’ Ħabib’ [The Words of a Friend], which is  a collection of messages and homilies by Mgr Scicluna. This first book of its kind deals with themes touched upon by Mgr Scicluna that are very relevant to today’s society and include: the protection of life, social inclusion, the exercise of power, the safeguarding of the environment and the Jubilee Year of Mercy. In his homilies, the Archbishop brings to mind, affirms and presents the teachings of the Church to all men and women of goodwill.

The book numbers 450 pages, including 48 pages of colour photographs. ‘Kelma ta Ħabib’ may be purchased from the Archbishop’s Curia in Floriana. For further information please call 21241281 during office hours, or send an email on [email protected].
