Pope: A negotiated peace is better than an endless war

In an interview with CBS, Pope Francis calls for an end to the wars in Ukraine, Gaza, and around the world. He says there is room for everyone in the Church pointing out that if a parish priest doesn’t seem welcoming, one can look elsewhere: “There is always a place, don’t run away from the Church.”

Referring in particular to the wars in Ukraine, in Gaza and others that continue to ravage the world, Pope Francis said ” Please, countries at war, all of them… Stop the war… Read more »

L-omelija tal-Arċisqof Charles Jude Scicluna

Min jaf kemm-il darba lil Ġesù ngħidulu dak li qalulu l-Lhud: “Kemm se ddum taqlgħalna ruħna?” (Ġw10:24), għax jitlobna xi ħaġa u nħossuha tassew diffiċli. Aħna nafu li Ġesù hu l-Iben t’Alla. Ma naħsibx li għandna problema bl-identità tiegħu. Imma l-isfida li jagħmlilna hi li nkunu parti mill-merħla tiegħu.

“In-nagħaġ tiegħi jisimgħu leħni, u jiena nagħrafhom, u huma jimxu warajja” (Ġw 22:27)… Read more »

Fis-silta ta’ din is-sena — forsi l-iżjed waħda magħrufa — insibu din l-espressjoni qawwija: “Jiena r-Ragħaj it-Tajjeb. Ir-ragħaj it-tajjeb jagħti ħajtu għan-nagħaġ tiegħu” (Ġw 10:11). Fl-Evanġelju sabiħ tal-lum din il-frażi kemm-il darba nisimgħuha: ‘li tagħti ħajtek’. Ġesù, biex jispjegaha juża diversi tixbihat… Read more »
