• A public lecture is being held on Sacred Spaces.

      The event will be held on Tuesday, 11 December 2018 at 4:00 pm at the University of Malta (Theology Board Room – 317) in Msida.

      Guest lecturer, Professor Conrad Thake is a renowned architect and architectural historian. He has co-authored with the late Dr Quentin Hughes, the two volumes Malta – The Baroque Island (2003) and Malta – War and Peace, an Architectural Chronicle 1800-2000 (2005). He is currently an associate professor in the department of Art and History of Art at the University of Malta.

       

  • The lecture will consider several worldwide examples of sacred spaces and architecture from the 20th century to contemporary times with a view to seeking a better understanding as to what constitutes a spiritual space, the process of its making and its relevance in today’s secular and materialistic world.

    The event is being organised by the Faculty of Theology. Entrance is free and the general public is invited to attend.
